Grant Applications Autumn 2025

The core aim of the Tom Furey Memorial Trust is to continue Tom’s legacy of supporting people from all walks of life into accessing the mountains, whether that be for the mental and physical health benefits, personal enjoyment, a career or any one of the multitude of other reasons people enjoy spending time in the UK mountains, as well as further afield.

Whilst we have a number of ways of achieving this, including running events like FureyFestival, we’re also particularly keen to support those who may be having difficulty in funding courses which would enable them to further their abilities in the mountains.

In this round of funding TFMT has made £5000 available to be split between a number of successful applicants. The application form can be found on the following link (applications will close on 30th November, 2025):

You must:

• live in the United Kingdom.

• provide full details of your course provider.

• have registered on the relevant scheme (if necessary).

• be willing to donate £25 per day of the course (TFMT will pay the course fee up to a maximum of £500 in total).

• describe your existing relevant experience.

• complete the form accurately and honestly.
