FEATURED HIGHLIGHTS

What is Furey Festival?

Throughout the weekend, we have a fantastic lineup of sessions, and we hope at least one or two will catch your interest! From basic navigation to technical ropework, mountain first aid to introductory sessions, there’s something for everyone. We’ll also explore wildlife, personal skills, and pre-assessment prep, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all skill levels.

On Friday evening we’ll be hearing some stories of the fundraising challenges some of our supporters have completed in recent years, from 24km swims to cycling the length of the UK. They’re stories not to be missed! On Saturday evening, we’re thrilled to welcome a wonderful local band – LONELY MOUNTAIN (make sure you buy a ticket!), after which you’ll have a chance to share a drink with friends old and new and tell tales of the mountains to round off the day.

And don’t miss the charity kit sale! Bring along any unwanted mountaineering gear on Saturday to pass on, with all proceeds going directly to the Tom Furey Memorial Trust, helping others access training and education in the mountains.

Also at the kit sale, we’ll have Snowdonia Gear Repair offering on the spot kit repairs and advice, We’ll also have Isi Booker Physio there offering mini-consultation session and advice on those niggling injuries you’ve got. Bring along your broken kit and hurty bodies to get them seen to!

Alongside these workshops, you’ll have the chance to meet and connect with like-minded people, and pick up valuable new skills—all while having a great time!
